On this trip, Global First Responder continued its new initiative of partnering with local hospitals in Haiti to support sustainable healthcare development. There was sustainment of the shared goal to equip hospitals with the skills, education, and supplies they need to provide health care for patients and staff. Volunteers on this trip did not directly provide the health care, but they instead worked side by side with local physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other staff to share knowledge and skills. We began where there is the greatest need: emergency and general medicine as well as pediatrics.
Global First Responder is a non-religious, non-politically affiliated, not-for-profit organization.
We are a volunteer organization, no member of the staff or board receives any compensation.
