Association of Baptists for World Evangelism

The Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, an independent mission agency based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has healthcare ministries throughout the world, which include full-service hospitals, mobile and itinerant medical clinics, crisis pregnancy centers, and community health evangelism teams.

Volunteer anesthesiologists, dentists, dental hygienists, hospital administrators, midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, obstetricians and gynecologists, pediatricians, pharmacists, and physical therapists, physicians, physician assistants, and surgeons are needed.

Midwife Pilgrim, a Vermont-based nonprofit organization, is dedicated to responding to global communities in crisis and disaster situations with skilled, compassionate midwifery care.

Volunteer midwives are needed right now in Greece, Turkey, Nepal, and Kenya.

Syrian American Medical Society is a nonprofit organization working on the front lines of crisis relief in Syria and neighboring countries to alleviate suffering and save lives.

The participation of volunteer physicians and healthcare professionals is needed on medical mission trips.

International Medical Corps

International Medical Corps is a nonprofit organization working to relieve the suffering of those impacted by war, natural disaster, and disease by delivering vital healthcare services that focus on training, helping devastated populations return to self-reliance.

International Medical Corps is looking for highly trained medical staff to add to their emergency response roster, which requires that volunteers be willing to deploy rapidly—usually within 72 hours—and for a duration of 2–8 weeks. (Preference is given to those able to deploy for longer durations.)

Doctors Without Borders

Doctors Without Borders is an international medical humanitarian organization working in nearly 70 countries to assist people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe. 

A wide variety of volunteers are needed: physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, specialists in infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS, and TB, surgeons, nurse midwives, certified midwives, licensed mental health specialists, anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, pharmacists, obstetricians/gynecologists, epidemiologists, operating room nurses, and laboratory technicians.
