HealthCare Ministries (HCM) is the international medical evangelism outreach of Assemblies of God World Missions. HCM serves the international community in the areas of health education, psychosocial Intervention, disability awareness, community health evangelism, medical, dental, optical, pharmacy, and disaster response.

Gospel Ministries International

Gospel Ministries International is a nonprofit organization which seizes opportunities to carry God’s love, through sacrifice, to the world.

Long-term volunteers may serve internationally or domestically in the areas of medical, dental, natural remedies, physical therapy, orphanage work, or social work.

Association of Baptists for World Evangelism

The Association of Baptists for World Evangelism, an independent mission agency based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, has healthcare ministries throughout the world, which include full-service hospitals, mobile and itinerant medical clinics, crisis pregnancy centers, and community health evangelism teams.

Volunteer anesthesiologists, dentists, dental hygienists, hospital administrators, midwives, nurse practitioners, nurses, obstetricians and gynecologists, pediatricians, pharmacists, and physical therapists, physicians, physician assistants, and surgeons are needed.


ServingHIM, a nonprofit organization based in Dallas, Texas, is dedicated to serving others worldwide by ministering to both physical and spiritual needs. Mission teams including volunteer medical and dental professionals travel to impoverished areas to provide quality care to those in need.

United Ukrainian American Relief Committee

A Unites States nonprofit also registered with USAID, the United Ukrainian American Relief Committee strives to make Ukraine a better place by lending it a helping hand.

The primary mission of Humanitas, a UK-registered charity, is to prevent the abandonment and the institutionalisation of children. Humanitas achieves this through a variety of medical and support projects and by providing homes for children though foster care and family style residential homes.

Humanitas currently has volunteer opportunities in their Romanian medical clinic and also within their Treatment and Training Programme.

Healing the Children Northeast

Healing the Children Northeast, a nonprofit volunteer organization located in New Milford, Connecticut, is committed to arranging free surgical, dental, and medical treatment for children in need in the U.S. and abroad.

Elim Missions

Elim Missions, a UK-registered charity, had mission opportunities in Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Operation Mobilization International

Operation Mobilization International, a nonprofit organization, pioneers and leads initiatives to redeem lives, rebuild communities, and restore hope in over 100 countries.

A variety of long and short-term medical and dental mission trips are offered.

Gilead Foundations

Gilead Foundations (a UK-registered charity) is a Christian therapeutic community whose aim is to help people struggling with addictions, self harm, or depression.

Relapse prevention training, counseling, and nursing volunteers are needed.


The UK nonprofit Mission:Europe is a catalyst for bringing about transformation in individuals, communities, and nations across Europe.

Volunteer opportunities vary: Serbian teams could specialize in pediatrics, women’s health, dentistry, etc; teams in Moldova provide free health or dental care in poor villages; and custom mission opportunities for individuals, teams, key leaders and churches are possible in Albania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, and Serbia.


Oaza is a charity established to meet the needs of street children in Romania.

There are opportunities for short-term, long-term, individual, or team volunteers with all kind of skills and ministry gifts.

Children in Distress

Children in Distress is a charity dedicated to helping suffering children in the Balkans and Eastern Europe.

The agency has an ongoing need to share best practice with local medical, nursing, therapy, and care staff and welcomes contact with volunteers who wish to share their experience and expertise.

Faith Medical Missions

Four times a year, the nonprofit organization Faith Medical Missions takes a medical team of volunteer physicians, nurses, dentists, optometrists, and other medical personnel into some of the poorest areas of the world, setting up a temporary medical clinic in a new location each day. The team provides hope and healing to the patients’ physical needs, so they can see to each individual’s spiritual needs.

Medical Missions Foundation

Medical Missions Foundation is a charitable organization that provides healing to underserved communities around the world through medicine and art.

Surgeries and clinics are run and staffed by volunteer medical professionals and support personnel who use their own time, talents, and money to do this important work. Volunteer in Kansas City, India, Guatemala, Uganda, or Romania.

Eastern European Outreach

The goal of Eastern European Outreach—a charity registered in the UK—is to spread the Gospel of Jesus throughout the world by direct evangelism and a wide scale of care projects.

Each year, Eastern European Outreach organizes group trips to Albania, Moldova, Ukraine, and Romania. The teams give help and support to local churches, orphanages, hospitals, and Roma camps.

Global Volunteers

Global Volunteers is a nonprofit organization that mobilizes teams of short-term volunteers on long-term programs to create, nurture, and sustain the wellbeing of the world’s children, so they can realize the full promise of their human potential.
You can indeed make a significant difference when you volunteer your skills in obstetrics, maternal care, breastfeeding, child psychology, early childhood intervention, nutrition, health and hygiene education, nursing, disease prevention, and drug intervention. Opportunities are available in Asia, Australia and Oceania, Central America and the Caribbean, Europe, South America, Africa, and Mexico and Montana in North America. 

His Healing Hands

His Healing Hands is a nonprofit organization that aims to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to needy people through short-term medical trips.

Volunteer medical professionals are needed, including doctors, nurses, dentists, optometrists, EMTs, technicians, pharmacists, and therapists.

Baptist Medical Dental Fellowship

Baptist Medical Dental Fellowship is a nonprofit network for U.S. and international Christian healthcare missions. It works primarily but not exclusively with the worldwide Baptist community. Areas of ministry include U.S. and international healthcare projects, disaster relief, and support ministries for career healthcare missionaries, student/resident scholarships for healthcare projects, and networking.

CERT International

CERT International is a Christian nonprofit organization that exists to serve and assist those who are in dire need of medical and dental services. 

Doctors, dentists, physician assistants, nurses, and medical professionals of all kinds are needed for short-term mission trips. 

Medical Teams International

Medical Teams International is a nonprofit Christian global health organization that helps people affected by disaster, conflict, and poverty.

There are volunteer opportunities in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Oregon, and Washington for family practice physicians, OB/GYNs, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, certified nurse midwives, nurse anesthetists, physical therapists, radiologists, sonographers, biomedical technicians, paramedics, dentists, and dental assistants. Disaster response volunteers include ER doctors, ER nurses, nurse practitioners, family and general practitioners, mental health practitioners, nutritionists, obstetricians and gynecologists, pharmacists, physician assistants, paramedics, and public health specialists.

Project Hope

Project HOPE is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to achieve sustainable advances in health care around the world by implementing health education programs and providing humanitarian assistance and volunteer medical care in areas of need.

Volunteers are needed. This includes nurses, ophthalmologists, physician specialists, and others.

International Medical Relief

International Medical Relief is a nonprofit organization that recruits qualified medical teams and offers short-term assignments for volunteer doctors, dentists, and other health care professionals, as well as non-medical volunteers, to conduct overseas medical clinics in areas where health care is limited or difficult to obtain.
