Florida Association for Volunteer Action in the Caribbean and the Americas (FAVACA) is a nonprofit organization that promotes economic and social development in the Caribbean and the Americas through volunteer service.

FAVACA provides short-term training and technical assistance in response to requests from its partners overseas. Expert volunteer consultants are recruited from around Florida to meet these needs.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics is a nonprofit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Floating Doctors

Floating Doctors is a volunteer based non-profit medical relief team dedicated to reducing the present and future burden of disease in the developing world.

Doctors, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, dentists, optometrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical students, public health researchers, educators, engineers, and anyone with a pair of willing hands and the desire to help out in this world are welcome to volunteer.
