What I Will Be Doing
Our volunteers will be offering medical clinics and health education classes and engaging in community service projects for the area. We will be working with local physicians to provide primary health care for all ages. The health education classes will cover general hygiene, disease prevention, infant care, CPR, and first-aid training. The classes will be open to the public and health officials in the area. We are not completely set in details for community service.
No matter where we end up, we are always excited to be helping out. However, we are particularly looking forward to working in Marrakech, Morocco—somewhere we haven’t been before. We are grateful to have the opportunity to help to improve the lives of others and the well-being of communities!
A Little About Hussein Baqer
28 year old male with multicultural background raised in Sweden. I completed my highschool education in Sweden with the major in Science. After highschool, I moved to New York state to complete a Bachelors in Biology while being very involved in campus life and various pro-bono activities. After College I continued studying to recieve my Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the Sage colleges. I stayed in the US for about a year to get more experience working as a travel physical therapist in various fields of practice and in different states. When my visa expired I decided to move back home to Sweden to be closer to family and take the oppurtunity to be part of the Swedish health system by providing my services as a Physical therapist. Before working in Sweden I also had to complete a series of exams to recieve my physio therapist license in Sweden. Currently, I am working as in home health as a PT in my hometown Malmo.
