National Coalition for Homeless Veterans is an American nonprofit organization whose Stand Down program has become recognized as the most valuable outreach tool to help homeless veterans in the nation today. Volunteers are needed at the two to three-day events that give homeless veterans a secure, community-like retreat to receive healthcare and personal hygiene services, food, clothing, housing, and employment referrals.
